Get Connected @ your library

The HPU Libraries will be celebrating National Library Week 2008 April 13-19. A variety of fun activities and events are planned at both libraries.
  • Answer the Online Question of the Day for a chance to enter the Grand Prize drawing for two tickets to the sold-out Kokua Festival...
  • Have a tough question for us? Then try to Stump the Librarian...
  • Hungry? Have a mid-day snack on us during the Library Open House on Wednesday, April 16th between 11am - 1pm...
  • And much more...click here for details
Atherton Library will be sponsoring a Guessing Game Contest & Prize Drawing on the Hawai'i Loa campus. Prizes include Starbucks & Jamba Juice gift cards. Drop by the library during National Library Week to enter. Also, be on the look out for us on Monday, April 14th as we roam the hallways of the AC handing out granola bars and other snacks to help you get through the morning.

What is National Library Week?

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support.

All types of libraries - school, public, academic and special - participate.
